| Yeah I lived there, but that doesn't mean you're not retarded! I moved away and came to the States when I was five. Living in Brazil was like living anywhere else, just more animals around, and better food.
When did you move here?
I moved here in '95. I had never seen snow in my life, and it just so happened that I arrived during a ridiculous snowstorm. So imagine being in 100+ degree temps everyday and then arriving to below freezing temperatures and snow up to your waist.
When and why did you start skating?
My brother, Sergio and I started skating about six years ago. Rollerblading got too lame for us, and skateboarding just seemed more fun for sure.
Who were your influences?
My brother was my biggest influence.
How did you get hooked up with 5boro?
Pretty much skating NYC with Steve Rodriguez and the 5 crew a lot, and becoming good friends with everyone. I also sent in a sponsor-me video and went to all the 5boro demos around my area. Then I worked my way up to flow trash, which pretty much means that you're their slave.
How come 5boro is the best company?
5boro is just raw -- they do it for skateboarding, not the money.
How many kids at demos have you made question their manhood when you beat them at arm wrestling and S.K.A.T.E.?
I remember I made this one kid cry on tour when I beat him in arm wrestling and gave him a mullet for losing to a girl.
How long in the morning does it take to get that pony tail tied tight?
Longer than you think! I'm starting to go towards the hair down with a beanie steeze lately though.
