When you first started skating was there a good skate scene back in Brazil?
I was 12 years old when I got my first board. The skate scene was good I would go to a park called Roosevelt where everybody skated. My homies and me would just watch everybody skate and then try and do what they did.

Why do you think so many kids from Brazil do well in contests here in the states?
In Brazil to have the good sponsors you have to be an all around good skater. Contests are a really big deal in Brazil. So when kids from Brazil come to contests here, they know this is really their time to shine.

As a kid did you ever imagine that you would one day be living in the states and skating for Flip and eS?
Not at all Dog. It's a blessing for sure.

You won the Mystic Cup contest in Prague at a very young age. How old were you and didn't you just have barely enough money to enter the event?
I was 15 and it was the first time I had left Brazil. I had $50 and one week left before I was to go home. The contest was $50 to enter. So I just entered and ended up winning.

Was the transition from The Firm to Flip easy? What do you miss about The Firm?
The transition was easy cause I had Lance and Bob both going over to Flip with me. The thing I miss most is the tours with all my old teammates. We were tight and I miss that the most.

Who are some of your favorite skaters now-a-days?
David Gonzales, Javier Sarmiento, Dennis Businetiz, J.B. Gulliet, and Appleyard.

Who do you think had the best video part in 2006?
Jerry Hsu in 'Bag Of Suck'

When can we expect to see the new Flip video?
Summer 2007.

Who is your favorite CCS team rider?
Rick Howard, Heath Kirchart, The Gonz�.I like everyone.

What can the kids expect from Rodrigo TX in 2007?
A whole lot of skating. My first video part on Flip. Lots of good times skating with my friends.
