Name and Occupation? Devil Gonzalez, skateboarder. Who are your Sponsors? Flip, Globe, Fury, Ricta and CCS. When you first started skating in Colombia do you think your gymnastics skills helped you progress faster? Hell yeah, I was so fast to react during slams. What was your first trip to the United States like? It was really fun for me. Everything was so different than here. It was the Tampa AM the first time. The ramps and the skate spots get me so amped. Also the pros and the other amateurs got me so hyped. Is Colombia as sketchy a place as people make it out to be? No, its the best place on earth. You have freedom here. The laws are not that hard as in the States. You can skate around with the homies. Spots are close. Also the food is really healthy and tastes good. Lots of nature too. Whats the skate spots out there like? Do they compare with stuff here in the U.S.? It's kind of different. Really rough spots but good stuff too. You dont get kicked out as frequently. Every interview I've read you really seem to enjoy AC/DC. Is there any other music you like? AC/DC the best for sure, but I also like Black Sabbath, GBH, Led Zeppelin, Billy Idol, Motor Head. You're also a skate video junkie from what we've heard. What do you think was the best video in 2006? Baker 3. So what are some of your plans for 2007? Australia trip soon, finish my part for the Flip video and start working on the Globe video part. Any last words or advice to kids reading this? Skate hard. Kill yourself skating. Dont be a wuss. "RIDE ON". |
